Inclement weather causes power outage

Due to inclement weather over the weekend, a power outage has occurred at Miami Country Day, affecting classrooms all across campus and canceling classes for lower schoolers.

The outage has also affected Multiple Middle School areas, causing many classes to be moved to different locations. Thankfully, this area was still safe according to safety protocols so middle schoolers were able to attend classes today. This has still caused many air conditioning problems and flickering lights in many rooms. Thankfully the Spartan Trucks and Bistro will remain open during their usual hours but the cafeteria will remain open only from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Thanks to Lourdes de la Huerta and John Krussaniotakis, the situation has gotten better, and the lower school will be re-opening on Wednesday, Sep 27.
