I’m Just a Jewish Girl Not a Worthless Human
7th grade poetry
Just because I’m a Jewish girl,
Doesn’t mean I’m greedy as a squirrel,
Doesn’t mean I’m an arrogant mule,
And doesn’t mean I’m automatically rich.
Just because I’m a Jewish girl,
Doesn’t mean I whine too much,
Doesn’t mean I’m loud or too noisy,
Doesn’t mean I only value materialistic objects.
Just because I’m a Jewish girl,
Doesn’t mean I need to grow up and marry a wealthy man,
Doesn’t mean every member of my family will have an oversized nose,
Doesn’t mean I’m undesirable or less feminine.
Why are Jewish women viewed this way?
Are Jewish women really that different?
How can we live life without embracing other cultures?
Just because I’m a Jewish girl.
